MIGHTY UNDER NINES.

The under nines have had a great start to season 2010,considering the team is made up of under nines and under eights we are three wins from three starts. The team is gelling together wonderfully, the boys and girls are playing to their positions and playing as a team. The whole team and the SUPER SUPPORTERS are really enjoying themselves.
We have a number of players that will be on the most wanted list in soccer,I have no doubt.
                                                          GO THE MIGHTY NINERS.

U13's Report 2010

After a VERY disappointing opening game, a 17-0 thrashing by Stirling East the U13's have bounced back with some very fine performances, although losing the following 4 games the team performed very well and were arguably the best side on the park in at least 3 of the games. Although losing to Woodside in the Association Cup the U13's qualify for the quarter finals as one of the best losers in Round 1. Round 6 saw the young Rams take their first point at Woodside, after leading in the first half 3-1 the final score finished at 4-4, a very good result against one of the best sides in the grade, well deserved.

A very big thank you to all players and parents for their patience during the early stages of the season as I try to get our squad to play to their full potential and grind out results, hopefully now the squad will build on the good performances and turn them into points on the ladder.

Thank you also to Geoff Hodgson for his assistance at training and to Andrew Luck for running the lines on match days, also to Kerri Afford for providing us with excellent photos for the website, very much appreciated.

UNDER 16’S REPORT 2010

Welcome back to the players who were part of the team last year. Also welcome to Stuart Sefton and Jacob Bibby who have joined our club this year. Graham and I are pleased to see all players from last year who have come back to us for another season. Only one player from last season did not return so hopefully this indicates that those that did are enjoying themselves with both the team and the club.

So far this season we have had mixed results. We have won some and lost some. This season we have many players who are only 14 or 15 years of age, therefore our approach is to develop and build a team that will be very competitive next year.

We did win the first round of the cup competition 3-2 and have progressed through to the quarter finals. Even though our team is young I think on the day we can match it with the best and we look forward to the opportunity. A huge THANKS to Zoe Eggers and Miranda Miller who have been filling in for us. Both of these girls can match it with the boys and when they tackle the boys, the lads come out second best.

Thank you to Tony Lewis for his assistance this season and I ask for the parents to continue to provide the support for the team this year. All of us are part of the team and this includes the parents. Good luck to the team this year and both Graham and I will be doing our very best to make sure you enjoy your time at Torrens Valley and as soccer players you continue to improve and make us proud.

Floodlights.

Floodlights have now been erected, players will notice a massive improvement in visiblity during the evening training sessions.

Back net.

The Southern end of the pitch now has a new back net and fence, this will help in catching those wayward shots at goal!
